The music of Christy Moore lovingly presented in the most unique, intimate of settings at our 150 year old converted primary school building
The Appreciation Society is currently in its second season of unique music performances held at the Irish Folk Music school in Glenisland, Castlebar, Co Mayo.
Each month our music teachers will present their favourite songs of their favourite recording artists in their own style with a variety of traditional instruments.
Up next on Saturday the 18th of March 2023 is the living legend that is Christy Moore. A pillar of the Irish music scene for over half a century with an enormous back catalogue of work; Christy has written and performed genuinely timeless songs like Ride on as well as songs that uniquely capture moments in time like Joxer goes to Stuttgart or Viva la quinta brigada.
The Christy Moore Appreciation Society is a one night only event, so get your tickets straight away to avoid missing out.
There is no alcohol at this event but freshly brewed coffee, tea and goodies will be provided.
Tickets are very limited as we are performing in an actual 150 year old classroom.
Doors open at 7:30 and the show starts at 8pm.
